When the wind blows

I have just re-read the chilling graphic novel When The Wind Blows by Raymond Briggs. Its a story of a elerdly coupil some time during the mid 80's attempt to survive a nulear strike. The childlike belif they have that following the information in pamphlets provieded by the government will keep them safe, and there belilfe that help is on the way.

This lead be to have a look for the pamphlet there hopes had been so misguidedly placed in. So, here it is, almost as chilling as the book itself.

Man dies after playing video game for 32 hours
October 20 2002

A 27-year-old Taiwanese man died yesterday after playing video games in a cyber cafe for 32 hours continuously.

Lien Wen-cheng arrived at the cyber cafe in Fengyuan in central Taiwan at 10.30pm on Thursday and played video games non-stop, pausing only to go to the toilet, police said.

At 7am on Saturday, a staff member found Lien foaming at the mouth and bleeding from the nose on the floor of the cafe's toilet.

"They rushed him to hospital but he was already dead," local police said.

Police suspect Lien died from exhaustion, having sat in the same position for too long.

Less than 10 days ago, a 24-year-old South Korean man died at an Internet cafe in Kwangju, 260km outside Seoul, after playing computer games nonstop for 86 hours.

Spooky car ad

This is a car advert from somewhere. When they finished filming the ad the people who made it noticed something moving along the side of the car, like a ghostly white mist. The ad was never out on TV because the unexplained ghostly phenomenon frightened the production team out of their wits. Watch it and about halfway look and you will see the white mist crossing in front of the car then following it along the road......Spooky
